Romina DE NOVELLIS (born in 1972) "Natura morta" Photograph dated 2018 16 x 21 cm This work is part of a 2018 exhibition titled “Weniger ist mehr—Less is more.” The artist transforms her body into a still life, referencing Monet’s still life of asparagus. The new owner of the work is invited to place a fresh asparagus spear in it every day, so that the performance continues and is renewed with each new spear. Through this act, Romina de Novellis seeks a form of ritual, a repetitive gesture, like an offering at an altar. Voluntary fee of 25% (including tax)
